A catch-all email mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to nonexistent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an outdated address or has made a spelling error. The negative aspect of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of unsolicited bulk emails, but this problem can be fixed using anti-spam protection software. It’s also crucial to know that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all email mailbox without effort if you have a cloud hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet incredibly easy to use, and it will enable you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks. All the mailboxes that you have created will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you’ll see a tiny "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking it twice will disable it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you already have a different mailbox with this option enabled or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be configured with several mouse clicks if you have a Linux semi-dedicated server with our company. The hosting account will be administered via our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up email addresses under any domain hosted there. To enable the catch-all option for a specific mailbox, you’ll have to click the icon with the same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Deactivating this functionality can be achieved in the very same manner and will not take more than one click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a particular domain name, you will receive a notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never alter or deactivate any feature automatically.
