.IT Domains

Established in 1987, Italy’s .IT country-code top-level domain name extension is very popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for building inventive and appealing domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to create an easy-to-remember domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to return to your website or to give it with associates and friends. The domain extension can also be used for a website, which is related to the technology sector since IT is an abbreviation, which is in use all over the world.

Bearing in mind that .IT domains are not offered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that administrates this extension, such a domain can be obtained through a 3rd-party service provider, such as ours. We will manage the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry. You can secure a dot IT domain for a period of 1 year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our firm and we will renew it the moment the transfer has been finished. The sole restriction is that the person reserving such a domain should be situated in a member state of the European Union.

Since there are existing 2nd-level Domains that include names of different territories and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that consist of geographical regions of any kind are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not offer such third-level domains, though, since they can be registered only by locals.
